ABOUT US

As OneZero’s Vice President of DHS Programs, Sara brings over 20 years of leadership in IT strategy, operations, and program management. She cultivates relationships with federal agencies and drives initiatives that support OneZero’s growth in the public sector. A retired senior officer from the US Coast Guard, Sara transitioned into government contracting, focusing on technology modernization and aligning solutions with federal mission needs. Her background offers deep insight into DHS operations and the value of strong public-private partnerships. She is committed to delivering impactful solutions that reinforce OneZero’s standard of service excellence.

Before joining OneZero, Sara served as Deputy Chief of the USCG Pacific Area’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology (C4IT) Division where her team advised the Pacific Area Commander on technology readiness across the Western Hemisphere.

Prior to her time there, Sara was the IT Director for DHS and USCG Headquarters at St Elizabeths in Washington, DC. She oversaw the deployment of a $155 million IT infrastructure—including multiple classifications of networks, a data center, and a Network Operations Center—and led 24/7 regional IT operations supporting mission-critical systems.

Sara has held leadership roles in IT service operations, personnel management, and operational support. She managed scientific network support for Arctic and Antarctic missions in the Pacific Northwest, and oversaw personnel actions at the USCG Personnel Service Center. Afloat, she served as a Deck Watch Officer and Law Enforcement Officer aboard USCG Cutter STEADFAST, supporting missions from Canada to Central America.

Sara earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from the US Coast Guard Academy and holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from Seattle Pacific University.

She and her husband, John, have two children, Luciana and Vincenzo. The family enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors together
